Scrap 'n' Dipity Spotlight

Wednesday, January 25, 2017
Hello everyone! It is my turn to do a spotlight post over at Scrap 'n' Dipity. This month I used the super cute image which is a freebie that you can get if you are a member of our Facebook Group - Scrap N' Group. The digital image is called Fenna Snowflake.

I have coloured the image with Copic Markers, and added some Frosted Lace Stickles on the snowflakes. I have used patterned paper from Kaisercraft 6x6 pad - Utopia Collection. I didn't have the perfect sentiment so I used my alpahbet set to put togehter the sentiment which I think matches quite well with the wintery image and can be used for a birthday or even for Christmas down the track!

Hope you get a chance to get creative this weekend, and head over to Scrap n' Dipity to pick up some super cute images to play with.

Thanks for looking...

Faery Ink -- One day Fae

Hi Everyone! Hope you didn't miss out on the One Day Fae Digi Giveaway over at Faery Ink. But if you did do not fret as this gorgeous image - Doodlebug Valentine Lollipop Fae is now available in the shop, so you can still add her to your collection. As a rule I don't celebrate Valentine's Day as it seems such a commercial holiday - but I could not resist this gorgeous image and would be perfect for making little valentine's cards for your kids!

She is coloured with copic markers with a bit of glittery distress stickles of the wings. I have then kept it pretty clean and simple as the image is the star of the show here, so I found some red checkered paper from my stash and added the obligatory ribbon!

Copics Used
- Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
- Hair - E99, E18, E19, E49
- Pink - RV10, RV32, RV34, RV17
- REd - R22, R24, R27, R39
- Shadows on ground - W0, W3, W5, W7

Fab 'n' Funky Challenge#224

Wednesday, January 18, 2017
Hi Everyone - time for a new challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky Challenges. This week our theme fits in with our Sponsors name...
MUST USE RIBBON
Our fantaistic sponsor this week is CRAFTY RIBBONS who is offering a £10 gift voucher.
crafty ribbons
I loved making this card and had to share it with you all and I love the red organza ribbon I used. I used the Taylored Expressions Holly Cutting Plate to create my background then layered it on the glittery silver cardstock. I used the Taylored Expressions Label Stacklets 1 for my sentiment panel - cutting one from kraft card then the next size up from red cardstock. I embellished the kraft label with a white gel pen for the dots around the outside and then a small sprig of holly leaves and red pearls. The sentiment I used was from CC Designs - AmyR Stamps Handy Christmas Greetings. I have then wrapped the ribbon around the background piece and then added a double bow and some little sliver christmas bells.

We  hope you will be able to join us in with our challenge this week. We look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous creations. Please be sure to post a link back to Fab'n'Funky Challenges in your blog post in order to be eligible for this weeks prize! The deadline for entries is Tuesday evening (8). So all that's left is for you to get creative and link up your entry to the linky at the bottom of the page.

Have fun and thanks for looking.

Happy New Year

Monday, January 2, 2017
Happy New Year everyone!
Welcome to 2017!
Have you all through about a new year's resolution? I am not really into them very much but I have been thinking about what I can do differently or better this year and my list is...

  1. Exercise more - this is probably on most people's list
  2. Blog more cards - I make more cards than I actually blog about, so I want to make an effort to share more of my work.
  3. Be more positive - I tend to look of the negative side of things so need to change my perception and look at things more positively.
  4. Be more organised - at work and at home.

Pretty simple things I guess and maybe writing them down will help me to  make them a reality.

So my first card share this year is a card that I loved how it turned out. I used the Altenew set - Painted Rose. I love the Altenew layering stamps - you can really quickly put together a card and I get a chance to play with all my lovely coloured inks. I have a heap of them and they don't get a lot of use other than my black ink pads. But with the Altenew stamps where you layer the flowers - the colours really come to life. The sentiment I used was from Papertrey Ink - Year of Flowers - Sweet Peas.

Hope you are having a great start to the year.
Thanks for stopping by.
